Translation problems?

The purpose of this site is to help translators all over the world to make better translations --- working together.

This service is supported by DATATA and its owner Arvi Tamminen.

The idea is simple: Whenever you encounter a translation problem, all you have to do is to use the mail form below to send a message to me, giving the following information:

a) the problematical word or phrase to be translated

b) source language (i.e. the language of the original text)

c) the language into which you want to have the text translated

d) (optional) information of the original text and connection

e) your e-mail address.

Your question will be visible on this page for all visitors to see and comment.

If you feel you can help your fellow-translator and answer one of the questions on this page, please use the mail form below to send your suggestions and comments. Your answer will be forwarded to the person who asked for help as well as kept on this page for some time --- just in case somebody else needs the information, too.

Use of this page is free to all. However, if you find the information on this page useful, you may give a voluntary contribution --- any amount in any currency.

A limited number of sponsors is accepted.

Hello. My name is Mike Nicholas. I will be moving to Helsinki this summer, in June, I am a graphic designer, and I am looking for either full-time or part-time work in Helsinki. I am currently living in Los Angeles, California in the USA. I am an American citizen and therefore I need a work permit in order to work in your country. I am 27 years old and single.
