Turnpoints for glider pilots

About turnpoint files

Here you can download turnpoints to be uploaded into a Volkslogger GPS device, or an iPAQ hand held computer running WinPilot or SeeYou software. These turnpoints have been exported programmatically from my GliderPilot's database containing some specially selected countries (see below).

I do not accept any responsibility of the correctness of the data, meaning here especially the coordinates of the turnpoints. Use at your own risk! However, the finnish turnpoint set used in competitions has been proven to be correct in numerous competitions starting at year 2003. Most of the turnpoints have been downloaded from the offical web-pages of international competitions, and as such, should be reliable.

You can use Turnpoint&Task Manager (Select the desired Country and Region) in order to get detailed information of the turnpoints see these turnpoints on Google Maps.

The turnpoints are grouped by target device to the following pages:

Installing the downloaded files

Unzip the downloaded file(s) in to a suitable folder. You can then edit the unzipped files with a text editor program e.g. to remove unwanted turnpoints or even add new ones.
There are several methods and programs to upload the turnpoints into the target device. These procedures are not handled here.
