BGs - gas wagons

In the beginning of Finnish railroads
history the passanger wagons had gas lanterns. Bigger station
had gas factories and the gas was transported to the filling places
with tank wagons. Wagon with three tanks were built in 1892 -
1949 with numbers 030'801 - 030'818. First the series was named
Gs, 1920 they were renamed as XGs and 1950 as BGs. In the beginning
the tanks were light gray and during WWII they were painted with
silver paint. In 1960 the wagons got their orange warning stripe.
