CAFÉ AU LAIT Café au lait
14 - 16 g French type dark roasted coffee
120 - 125 ml water
100 ml milk

Brew the coffee using the amount of ground coffee and water given above.

Meanwhile, heat the milk in a saucepan until steaming, but do not let it boil.

Pour the hot coffee and milk simultaneously in a large cup. Sweeten with sugar or honey, if you like. Serve for breakfast, eg with homemade croissants.

For a larger quantity, increase the amount of water, coffee and milk in proportion.
Serves 1.
