Tartlet tartelette is a small individual pastry case. It can be made of various pastries, like shortcrust pastry, puff pastry, etc, and filled
before or after baking with sweet or savoury filling.

Special small tartlet tins may be used in baking the pastry. These come in many shapes and sizes.
Savoury tartlets may be served as hors d'œuvre, cocktail snacks or appetizers and sweet tartlets as a dessert with coffee or with afternoon tea.
