Please HELP me!!! Many thanks Re: HELP! KN5000 changing the time signature to 9/8 Posted by: Scott on March 02, 1999 at 09:16:18: In Reply to: HELP! KN5000 changing the time signature to 9/8 posted by Gucci on March 02, 1999 at 06:14:12: Gucci, Here's how to record the following time signature in the KN5000: 9/8: choose 3/4 (3 bars of 3/4 is equivilent to one bar of 9/8) 12/8: choose 3/4 (4 bars of 3/4 is equivilent to one bar of 12/8) 7/8: There is NO EASY way to achieve this but ... it CAN be done. Here's how: Create two Composer memory patterns: Variation 1: 4/4 Variation 2: 3/4 Go into "REALTIME" Record mode Select a slower than normal record tempo Set track #5 (Control Track) ONLY to REC (record) mode Press "Display Hold" button to keep current window from changing Select Variation 1 Press START/STOP button (Recording begins) At end of first measure - press Variation 2 At end of second measure - press Varation 1 Toggle back and forth for sufficient number of measures to complete song When completed.... select "REC Stop" Go back to the begining of the song and record APC Chords and or tracks RT1, RT2 etc as needed. Be sure that Track #5 (CTL) is set to PLAY mode. An alternate way of achieving the above is to record the above variation 1 and variation 2 control track changes in "STEP RECORD" Mode. Hope this helps. Good luck. - Scott scottyee@aol.com
