Hi Erkki,
I no longer have access to Richard's Finnish dictionary, but I
believe the appropriate thing to say is "Mita
kulu?" I have thought of you often over the past 4 1/2
years, and wondered how you were doing. I greatly enjoyed
working with you and the ABB group. I hope our project
worked well for ABB and has proven useful. I just spoke
with Richard and he mentioned something about your web
page, so I am taking the opportunity to update you on what I have
been doing.
I worked for Adicon for one more year after the ABB project --
six months on a project for Johnson Controls (office automation -
heating, coooling, lighting, security), and eight months for
Allen Bradley (a competitor of ABB). After that, I became
an independant consultant, and have been working for Camtronics
Medical Systems for the past 3 1/2 years. The project that
I have been working on is a digital image acquisition and post
processing box designed for xray equipment.
My family is doing well, Barb my wife is going to school to
become a nurse. Brad (11) and Heidi (8) are doing well in
school. We recently built a new home, and I have been busy
doing landscaping. I am a Boy Scout leader for my son, and
also a soccer coach for his team. Yes, soccer (or football
as the rest of the world calls it) has finally become a big sport
in the United States. All of our young children are playing
it at an early age. Maybe 10 or 15 years from now, this
country will actually be competative at a world level in soccer.
Well, I wish you the best of luck in what ever you do, and I wish
your family well also!
Sincerely,
Dan Spors
