Erilaiset muodot tuovat perhosharrastukseen mukavan lisän.
Muotojen nimistö saattaa tosin vaihdella julkaisusta toiseen. Samalla muodolla esiintyy useampia nimiä tai joskus sama nimi on annettu useammalle muodolle.
Jotkut värimuodot ovat 'kiinteitä' ja helposti nimettäviä, jotkut taas ainutlaatuisia luonnonoikkuja, joiden nimeäminenkin on turhaa.
Kaikista nimisekaannuksista huolimatta olen kerännyt nettisivuilleni joitakin värimuotoja nimineen.
Jos nimen perässä on kysymysmerkki, en ole löytänyt kirjallisuudesta tälle lajille muotonimeä, vaan olen ottanut sen jonkin toisen lajin vastaavalta muodolta.

Different forms add interest to butterflies and moths as a hobby.
The nomenclature of forms may vary from publication to publication. The same form has several names or the same name means different form.
Though there are much confusion with those names, I have gathered on my pages some colour forms with their names.
If there is a question mark behind the name, I have not found any name belonging to that form and just that species. In this case I have taken it from similar form belonging to some other species.

Zygaena viciae -lajista tunnetaan Euroopassa useita erilaisia muotoja, joissa punainen väri peittää enemmän tai vähemmän siipiä tai joissa punainen on muuttunut ruskeaksi - keltaiseksi.
Suomesta on tavattu ainakin seuraavat muodot:

In Europe Zygaena viciae has many different forms, in which the red colour covers more or less the wings or in which the red colour has turned into brown - yellow.
There has been found at least the following ones in Finland:
